The first time I was asked the question “what do you like to shoot?” I didn’t really know what that person was asking. It was my assumption that every photographer enjoys shooting a wide array of subjects and scenes, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized that I wasn’t actually shooting a picture at all. I realized that when I captured an image I was actually transforming light into human emotion and thought and ideas and all the things we see in our lives but never take the time to notice. I realized that I had a wonderful tool right in the palm of my hands that could be used to stop people in their tracks and make them think...and I LOVED it.

I love to see the reactions people have when they look at my images. I love to see the smiles and the wistful looks of individuals who have transported themselves into a scene I have captured. And yes, I even love the furled brows of an individual trying to digest the intensity of some of my “less-than-commercial” pieces. I love it all.

I am open to new ideas and new experiences and want to capture something of value for you. I want to explore what makes you happy and thoughtful. I want to give you something that defines who you are, what you desire, and who you want to become. I want the images that I capture for you to hang on your walls for many years to come as well as on the walls of the generations that follow you.
